The main goal of the project is to complete the construction and reconstruction of facilities that were envisaged in the second phase, but not funded, as well as new facilities that were originally envisaged in the feasibility study. Among the latter is the restoration Mashankul-Karadzhar system of lakes and related land irrigation, as well as watering around lake areas.

Outlet construction planned in the northwestern part of the North Dam (PK 20 + 00) of the Mezhdurechensky reservoir, from where it will become possible to supply water to the lakes Big and Small Zakirkol with a flow rate of 5 m3 / s. This cost is calculated based on sufficiency to fill the system of lakes for several months and maintaining the level in it, taking into account evaporation.
The Shuak dam is located at the end of the Eastern dams of the Mezhdurechensky reservoir, representing a deaf earthen partition of the channel the Akdarya river. In order to increase the reliability of the jumper, it is proposed to expand it to a width on ridge at the level of 59.0 13-20 m, for which a high-quality embankment is provided from the side downstream of the cofferdam.
The outlet channels from the Rybachy Reservoir are located in northwestern part of the dam and serve to divert water into the downstream from the reservoir, with in order to create flow and divert excess water towards the Aral Sea. At this facility, it is planned to reconstruct the existing outlet channels.
To increase the capacity of the Muynak reservoir and ensure its sustainable operation, it is necessary to carry out the construction of the South Dam. The length of the connecting dam is 3.65 km, left guide - 1.5 km. Total 13.55 km. The construction of the South Dam will provide the possibility of filling the reservoir up to marks 52.5 m with an estimated volume of up to 161 million m3
The side spillway is calculated for a flow rate of 410 m3/s. The location of the side spillway is taken on the section of the Eastern dam from PK17 + 00 to PK23+00. The crest of the side spillway corresponds to the FSL mark of 57.0, which allows do without eroded bridges to hold the water horizon. Due to the fact that ground surface marks in the upstream and downstream in this area are higher, as well as with taking into account measures to maintain the water level in the downstream (Lake Maypost) at the mark 55.0, the reinforced concrete lining of the upper slope and the water slope part have been reduced structures.
Previously, it included 21 lakes with a total area of more than 70 thousand hectares. Fish production in the late 60s was 1 thousand tons. According to satellite imagery in 1992. The system was represented by a group of lakes with a total wetted area of 24,000 ha. AT in terms of fisheries, the most productive were Koptinkol, Khozhakol, Kanbakly, Zhaungyrkol, Ilmekol and Keuser. The system is formed by passing from one to another, stretches of different areas with numerous connecting channels. most clearly the boundaries of the Khozhakul, Ilmenkol and Keuser lakes are marked. Lake Khozhakul is 25 km away northeast of Kungrad. Its formation is closely related to the appearance of the lake. Mashankul, formed in 1934. The lake is fed through the Raushan channel and unites a number of reservoirs, forming the Mashankul system, which includes Lake Khozhakul with adjacent reservoirs Sazyrkul, Kultykkul, etc. In general, the Mashankul-Karadzhar system has a mixed supply - this is the water of the Amu Darya, supplied to the system through the Suenli, Raushan canals, and wastewater from the Ustyurt collector. The lakes have average depths of over 1.5 m (2.5-3 m). Maximum depth (11m) observed in the lakes Kantakly and Keuser. The ichthyofauna of the system includes up to 18 species of fish.
This system to the greatest extent retained its natural appearance and
diversity of biota
compared with other water bodies of the Amudarya delta zone. It should also be noted that in
In the Mashankul-Karadzhar lake system, the second priority is the watering of pastures in the
area
lakes Mashankul, Ilmenkol and Karadzhar. At the same time, the total area of irrigated pastures
will be 10-15
thousand hectares
According to the project, after its restoration, the system will consist of 3
the main reservoirs are Mashankul with an area of 7.4 thousand ha, Ilmenkul with an area of
5.2 thousand ha and Karadzhar with an area of 2.02 thousand ha.
In addition, pastures on an area of about 3-5 thousand hectares and a natural complex will
be restored.
the area of which will be finally specified when compiling the TER.
To restore these reservoirs, the project provides for the reconstruction of the existing
earlier, water supply systems through the Raushan canal and water distribution systems using the
canal
Maly Zhansyz, construction of a protective dam and a water outlet in the area of the village
Karajar. After the reconstruction of the Raushan canal, the water in the lake. Mashankul will act
according to
Mashankul fault, which, if necessary, will also be reconstructed and fully
volume - along the Liman canal, for irrigation of areas suspended from its system. From Lake
Mashankul
water will be supplied along the Small Jansyz to the lakes Ilmenkul and Karadzhar. Water
regulation and
levels of water horizons, it is planned to implement 3 hydraulic structures,
located on the channel Small Jansyz.
